Bob Woodruff Foundation:
Our largest funders to date, the Bob Woodruff Foundation first supported our outreach activities in 2013, which ultimately led to the formation of our Farmers Market stand at the VA Hospital in Seattle. They continue to support us in our effort to create self-sustaining programs that will allow Growing Veterans to thrive well into the future without having to depend so strongly on grants. Their support has been instrumental in the overall development of our organization, but in particular, the formation our of Peer-Support Training.
J.M. Kaplan Fund:
The J.M.K. Innovation Prize was designed to seek out boldly promising ideas in the field of social-sector innovation. From a pool of more than one thousand applications from every corner of the country, Growing Veterans had the honor to be selected as one of ten Prize Winners who will receive multi-year support for their visionary ideas. Support from the J.M. Kaplan Fund will allow Growing Veterans to continue building a strong, stable organization and ensure we are able to integrate our Peer-Support programming into our daily organizational activities.
