Basil - Sweet Aroma
Basil is a friend to gardens, and grows great sharing space with tomatoes, potatoes, oregano and other common garden additions. At Growing Veterans, we grew this sweet-smelling herb next our tomatoes in the Hoop House, and this year we’re going to see how they do next to our peppers. Like tomatoes and peppers, basil like warm weather. When watering, do you best to get the base of the plant and not the leaves, and keep this plant moist to keep it happy. Give basil 12-16 inches of space to grow and put it somewhere where it’ll get at least six hours of sunlight.
